5 advantages of an e-bike holiday

Checklist: passports, luggage, kids, and most importantly – the e-bikes

Flexible

Ampler bikes are lightweight and easy to carry. This means if you want to load it on a car, or bus, or take it with you via train, it’s no issue. Many countries across Europe are accommodating too. Places like Switzerland and the Netherlands are ever-expanding the number of public bike garages, while major cities like Bordeaux, Berlin, and more are increasing cycling lanes and charging points. Most bus and train companies in Europe allow passengers to bring their bikes, and your Ampler is no different. Most can’t tell that it’s even an e-bike!

Price-friendly

Organised e-bike tours have the advantages of an all-inclusive holiday. Accommodation, guides, and bikes are all planned and often work out cheaper. However, with your e-bike, you can save on rental costs. Furthermore, with some careful preparation, you can simply plan your expeditions. Work out the distances and stops and get there smoothly. Forget spending on petrol or ticket fares, with an e-bike you can cover significant distances with less exertion. You also don’t need to worry about any congestion or parking fees when exploring new cities.

Eco-friendly

Deciding to holiday with your e-bike is not only fun but environmentally sustainable. Compared to renting cars or taking busses your e-bike is a far better alternative. Take satisfaction in the fact that not only are you getting good exercise and taking a little extra time to enjoy your surroundings, but making less of an environmental impact. E-bikes are also quiet so you won’t be creating any noise pollution – this is beneficial not only to the locals but to wildlife too.

Explorative

There’s no better way to get a feel for a place than with a cycling holiday. Take advantage of the freedom an e-bike gives you. With peddle assistance, you can spend more time cycling with less physical strain. Arrive at local villages or historic sights with the energy to walk around. Support local communities and businesses by having extra money for souvenir shopping you’d otherwise spend on petrol or travel. You’ll likely discover places you otherwise would never have found were it not for the option to explore on your e-bike.

Inclusive

While we have covered the immediate benefits of an e-bike holiday it’s clear that it falls under the pros of any cycling holiday. E-bikes open up regular cycling trips that might be too physically strenuous for some. People with varying levels of fitness can partake in longer, more challenging journeys. Distances and steep gradients become less of a concern when you have state-of-the-art motor assistance. Besides, any holiday is made more enjoyable with good company. E-bikes allow more friends and family to get involved.
