We have some exciting news to share: Ampler Nova has been awarded Gold at the German Design Award 2026, in the Excellent Product Design – Bicycles and E-Bikes category.
The German Design Award is one of the most internationally recognised design competitions, run by the German Design Council. It honours products and projects that break new ground in design, not just aesthetically, but in terms of how they work, how they feel, and what they stand for. Winning Gold puts Nova among an elite group of products that have genuinely moved the needle in their field.

Why Nova?
Nova is the world’s first e-bike with fully integrated USB-C charging. One universal cable handles your bike, your laptop, and your phone. A standard 65W+ charger gives you most of your daily range in 2.5 hours. No proprietary adapters, no extra cables to carry.
You can also charge devices directly from the bike via powerbank, or top up from anywhere that has a USB-C port. It’s the kind of flexibility that makes a real difference in daily life, and it anticipates the EU’s 2026 USB-C directive, which will require a common charging standard across consumer electronics.
Beyond charging, Nova is lightweight, quiet, and intuitive. Every bike is hand-built in our Estonian workshop in Tallinn, where design, engineering, and assembly happen under one roof. What this award means to us
This is the second major award Nova has received in under a year, following the Gold at the Eurobike Award in June 2025. Two golds, two of the industry’s most respected juries, and the same verdict both times: Nova sets a new benchmark.
